Saturday's game
Hartnell (4-1) at Los Medanos (3-2), 1 p.m.
The Panthers have had an extra week to stew over their first loss in 11 games last week, falling at home to Merced.
Hartnell faces a Los Medanos team who beat Merced on the road and has a win over MPC.
It's been a committee approach all year at Los Medanos as two quarterbacks have thrown for nearly 500 yards while four different running backs have at least 135 yards rushing.
The Panthers still lead the state in scoring average at 47.8 points a game. Sophomore Quarterback Michael Turner has thrown for 995 yards and 13 touchdowns in five games.
Turner has thrown touchdown passes to seven different receivers this fall. Four of Ronnie Turner's eight catches have been touchdowns.
Freshman tailback Sherrod Hawkes is averaging nearly 115 yards a game on the ground with nine rushing touchdowns.
Hartnell is plus four in turnover ratio with Nias Martin having intercepted three passes
