Soquel-Carmel boys polo

While Soquel has ruled boys water polo in this region for two plus decades, the Padres have created their own legacy of sorts.
Carmel is the only team in the last 20 years in league play to have beaten the Knights -- not once but twice in the last two years.
The first win came in the 2012 league tournament, enabling Carmel to gather a share of the Gabilan Division title. Last year the Padres beat Soquel at home 13-10.
Both teams come into tonight's battle at Carmel undefeated. Brett Luch and Wyatt Milne have given the Padres a dynamic scoring punch this season.
Goalie Patrick Kelly will need his defense to tighten the reigns to combat a Soquel attack averaging nearly 20 goals a game.
Reigning league MVP Jack Pickard and Max Somple chalked up a combined 248 goals last fall for the Knights.
