The Aztecs are still looking for their first offensive touchdown. In a season opening loss at Alvarez two weeks ago, they kicked a field goal and scored a defensive touchdown.
After allowing just 67 rushing yards in a win over King City, Monte Vista gave up nearly 200 yards on the ground in a loss to Pacific Grove.
The Mustangs have turned the ball over six times -- all on fumbles. Monte Vista has lead by seven or more points in both games.
Six of Soledad quarterback Fernando Longoria's nine completions have gone to Kevin Lemus. Big plays, though, victimized them in the season opener.
