Friday's game
Palma (3-0) at Palo Alto (1-2), 7:30 p.m.
The Vikings have been outscored in their past two games 88-14 by San Benito and Mitty. Palma has outscored its opponents 86-25 this year -- 28-0 in the second quarter.
Tailback Emilio Martinez is on pace for 1,300 rushing yards. The 5-foot-8, 165-pound sophomore is also headed for 200-plus carries.
Running behind an offensive line anchored by Dylan Antonetti, Martinez has also produced seven of Palma's 10 touchdowns this fall.
Quarterback Jack Richardson continues to progress, having tossed three touchdown passes of 48 yards or longer in his past two games.
Defensively, this might be the best unit Palma has put on the field since winning a CCS Division I title in 2003. The last time it opened the year 4-0 was in 2002.
