It's been the redemption tour for the Chieftains in non-league play, having avenged losses to Carmel and St. Francis of Mountain View to open the fall.
Palma's defense has carried the weight while the offense continues to mature with eight new starters in the fold, including sophomore Emilio Martinez, who has five rushing touchdowns.
The fact that Palma has produced 51 points in its first two games this fall is an oddity. Last year it mustered just 10 in its first two games. In 2012, it scored 19 and in 2011, it produced 25 points.
The Chieftains have fared well against St. Francis in the regular season, having gone 3-1-1 in the last four meetings. Palma has now won six straight regular season games at Rabobank.
