Friday's game
North County (2-2) at Monte Vista (3-1), 7:30 p.m.
The Mustangs will be playing their fourth straight home game while North County is on the road for the third straight week.
The growing pains of establishing a new foundation continue for the Condors, who after holding an opponent to just two points in a win two weeks ago, gave up 49 last week in a loss to Alvarez.
More than half of Monte Vista's points this fall have come in the final quarter, when it has outscored teams 34-8.
Having already equaled last year's win total, the Mustangs defense has recorded 12 turnovers in its three wins, including a pick six from Mustafa Majeed.
Tailback David Palimino has put together back-to-back 100 plus yard rushing efforts for Monte Vista, while Majeed and Luke Dillon have 24 of the teams 36 receptions.
