Monterey-Kennedy football

Friday's game
Monterey (2-0) at Kennedy, Richmond (1-1), 7 p.m.
A member of the Tri-County Stone League of the North Coast Section, the Eagles were a streaky team last fall, dropping their first four games before rattling off five straight wins.
Kennedy is a team that doesn't like to put the ball in the air often. In its win over Drake, it threw the ball 11 times. It did average nearly seven yards on the ground.
The Toreadores are the highest scoring team among the tri-league area, averaging 54.5 points a game this fall.
Quarterback Carter Aldrete has four touchdown passes on 12 completions, averaging nearly 27 yards a completion -- with no interceptions in 25 attempts.
Why are teams kicking the ball to Ryan Reynolds? The senior might be the fastest player in the area,  having returned two kickoffs and a punt for touchdowns this year.
Monterey has turned the ball over just once this season.
