Monterey football

Three weeks into the season and the Toreadores are on a pace to shatter the school and county record for points in a single season.
Of course, it's unlikely that Monterey will be able to maintain its average of 52.3 points a game once the league season rolls around.
Remember, the Toreadores play in the Gabilan Division.
Still, this offense is littered with options, starting with quarterback Carter Aldrete, who has given the program a passing attack not seen since -- well forever at Monterey.
Lost in all this offensive firepower, though, has been the Toreadores special teams, namely Ryan Reynolds, who has five kickoff or punt returns for touchdowns this year.
That doesn't include the two touchdowns on punt returns called back. Why are teams still kicking to Reynolds? He is Devin Hester (Falcons) dressed in green.
