Marc Flores

The one-time King City High three-sport standout went from sending rockets into the Pacific twilight in Hawaii to ripping extra base hits in the Arizona desert.
Flores, who was taken in the 30th round by the White Sox this past June, appeared in 32 games for Chicago’s Rookie League team in Arizona, scoring 19 runs while walking 16 times.
The 6-foot-5 first baseman took some time adjusting from aluminum to wooden bats, hitting .225 with one homer and 10 runs batted in. Flores also had five doubles and three triples.
A former Hartnell College All-American, Flores was an all-leaguer at King City in football, basketball and track.
