Christopher-Carmel football

Saturday's game
Christopher (2-0) at Carmel (0-2), 2 p.m.
What's interesting about the Padres two lopsided losses is they actually lead in both games before the defense crumbled in losses to Gabilan Division powers Palma and Salinas.
Torched last week through the air, Carmel will have to contend with Christopher quarterback Matt Adamkiewicz, who has thrown for nearly 600 yards in two games.
For a Carmel passing attack that has averaged nearly a 70 percent completion rating over the last five years, it is completing just 51 percent through two games.
Sophomore tailback Covassay Windham has been a bright spot for the Padres with a pair of 100-plus yard rushing efforts.
With both teams winging it this season, hopefully there will be enough light in the day to finish this game.
