Salinas City Jamboree

The annual Salinas City Jamboree is being played on Friday at Rabobank Field.
Call me a traditionalist.
What was wrong with Salinas High Stadium, the Lambeau Field of high school football?
 Rabobank is sparkling and bigger. But it's also costing each school money to play there.
 Salinas High Stadium was free. In this era, sports programs are being pinched.
 The Pit has the tradition and history. What kid doesn't want to run through the tunnel?
 And according to two high school coaches, a lack of space will force them to warm up on their own fields before getting on a bus to Rabobank.
