Andrew Franks

 The former Carmel High standout has been named to two preseason Division III All-American football teams as a kicker.

 Franks, who is a senior this fall at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, was named to the D3football.com first team and the BSN first team.
  Last fall Franks was the Liberty League Special Teams Player of the Year, and was named to two All-American first teams. He was also a second team selection as a punter.
  Franks connected on 9-of-11 field goals attempts last season, including a school record 50 yarder, setting a single-game school record with five field goals in one game.
 He is No. 3 all time at RPI in field goals for his career (21).
 Franks also averaged nearly 37 yards a punt last year and 63.3 yards on kickoff returns, including 20 touchbacks.
