David Norman

The former Seaside High three-sport standout will be inducted into the University of Nevada Sports Hall of Fame on Sept. 4 in Reno.
Norman was a strong safety/linebacker at Nevada between 1989-91, where he was a teammate of   former Dallas Cowboys safety Brook Marion.
Norman had nine sacks and two interceptions in 1991. The Wolf  Pack went on to beat Boise State in triple overtime to capture the Big Sky Conference title.
Former Nevada head football coach Chris Ault was once quoted in the Reno Gazette, saying Norman was one of the greatest athletes we've ever had.
Norman also played baseball for the Wolf Pack in 1992 as a first baseman, hitting .360 with 11 home runs and 58 runs batted in.
Nevada went 43-11 overall that year as an Independent team -- including 27-0 at home.
Norman choose baseball over football, signing with the Atlanta Braves, where he was a teammate of David Justice in the minor leagues.
Norman was an all-league football, basketball and baseball player at Seaside.
