Carmel Passing Tournament

No surprise here.
Carmel looked crisp and sharp against four other teams at the Carmel 7-on-7 Passing Tournament.
Granted without a pass rush, it's easier to pick apart defenses. But quarterback Connor Marden was hitting his receivers where only they could catch them.
Look for Salinas to showcase a more wide open offense this year. Zach McDermott made some nice deep throws down field.
Marina has come so far in three years under head coach Vernon Calhoun. I liked their passing game, which will be an option this year.
King City moved the ball efficiently down field under Chase Barbree. The chemistry with some of his new targets isn't quite there yet.
The same can be said for Gonzales, who has receivers with good hands. Now it's a matter of building a relationship with the quarterback.
