Key games for Palma

You have to point to the Chieftains season opener on Sept. 4 at Rabobank against Carmel, who beat them 20-10 last fall.
All 10 teams on Palma's schedule made the playoffs last year. Yet, two games that stand out include an Oct. 31 battle at Monterey and a Nov. 7 meeting in San Benito.

The St Francis game at Rabobank will be the biggest test Palma will see. St Francis is expected to compete for the WCAL title. They had two high profile transfers - one from the state of Washington (and committed to Washington Huskies) that is a top 10 DT in the Nation (4 star recruit) and a QB from Texas that was invited to the US Army Football combine. They are going to be very tough on both sides of the ball.

Next best game is probably Carmel or Monterey. Paly High will be good but been down compared to last few years (still probably as good or better than Carmel or Monterey). San benito should be a good game, but Palma players haven't lost a game to Hollister at all levels.

Alvarez may be the second toughest game as well. The Titans have lots of talent and seem to be in an uptrend.
