Palma-Alisal boys track

The Chieftains haven't had too many nail biters during their run of 13 straight dual meet wins.
Then again, Palma, who entertains Alisal today, hasn't faced a team this late in the season that's undefeated as well.
I'm not sure either team wanted a pressure meet five days before the league championship trials begin.
Yet, in terms of a potential team title, this meet probably means more to Alisal, who has a tie on its resume as well this spring.
Palma's arsenal is deep in a number of events. It matches up well with Alisal's strengths, except in the distance races.
Chase Pacheco remains the CCS leader in the long jump and among the top five in the high jump. Devin Hinson has put his name in the hat among the section leaders in the 300 intermediate hurdles.
Alisal's depth has produced its best season in 30 years. But the reigning two-time Gabilan Division champion Chieftains are a top five CCS team.
