Every team goes through a few hiccups in their season.
Well, that's not completely true.
Last year Pacific Grove became the first team in the Central Coast Section to go undefeated at 31-0.
OK, so it is rare.
Seeing the Breakers fall last week to Stevenson for their first MTAL loss in 32 games, might serve as a wake up call at the right time.
This is the stretch run where teams hope to start peaking for the playoffs. Complacency often means an early exit from the postseason.
But lets not jump off the bandwagon.
As Pacific Grove pitcher Chris Clements said on twitter, give Brad Powers some credit. The kid can pitch for Stevenson.
Now comes Carmel, who is still clinging to hopes of gathering a share of the MTAL title.
I think the reigning two-time CCS Division III champion Breakers understand that there's a target on their back.
