Palma volleyball

 For all the banners that cover the Palma gymnasium, the one sport that doesn’t have one is volleyball.

  Until now.
  The Chieftains clinched no worse than a share of the Monterey Bay League’s regular season title Tuesday night after sweeping Alisal.
  A win on Thursday over winless Gilroy seals the regular season title outright and a postseason spot for Palma.
  Since falling in four games to Alisal 41 days ago, the Chieftains have rattled off 11 straight league wins -- a school record.
