Notre Dame softball

There may not be a more complete team right now than the sizzling Spirits, who have outscored opponents 128-20 in 13 games this year.
The defending Central Coast Section Division III champions have rattled off seven straight wins going into today's battle with rival Salinas.
Senior hurler Elizabeth Ray has displayed why she's headed to Santa Clara University next spring, having tossed four shutouts and recorded 81 strikeouts.
And the bats have been unconscious this year with Aireal Sakasagawa having seven multiple hit games, while sharing the team lead in runs batted in with Sarah Muzik.
What gets your attention, though, with Notre Dame is it has 35 extra base hits this season, including 13 triples.
