Allie Loomis to UC Irvine

 Allie Loomis will sign a letter-of-intent next week to attend nationally ranked UC Irvine on a partial water polo scholarship.

  The Santa Catalina sniper had weighed offers from eight different Division I programs, including Stanford and USC.
  A four time Most Valuable Player at Santa Catalina, Loomis was the Gabilan Division’s MVP last fall, producing 130 goals while recording 81 steals.
  She was the Sophomore of the Year in the old TCAL in 2011, and the Junior of the Year in the MBL’s Pacific Division in 2013.
  The last player from Santa Catalina to play for a Division I program was Devin Kennifer, who spent four years at Harvard.
