Division IV
No. 6 Harker-San Jose vs. No. 2 Seaside, Menlo School, 5:30 p.m.
We know about Harker's Division IV postseason history against teams from Monterey County.
It's unbeaten over the last six years, going 5-0.
Then again, all five wins came against teams from the Mission Trail Athletic League.
The MBL's Gabilan Division is a different animal.
And Seaside is playing as well as it has all year, having won a season high seven straight games in capturing the Gabilan Division title and beating Harbor in the CCS quarterfinals.
The Eagles came on strong at the end of the season as well, beating top seed Sacred Heart Prep on Feb. 18. In fact, they have won five straight.
Eric Holt is a factor in the paint for Harker with his 6-foot-4 frame. Teammate Srivinay Irrinki has knocked down 25 of the teams 128 3-point goals this year.
Deshawn Irving and RJ Johnson stepped up on the big stage on Saturday, each scoring 13 points as Seaside surged in the second half against Harbor.
When Seaside is on the same page and moving the ball around, it's a difficult team to match up against.
