Could this be a preview to the CCS Division III finals?
The two powers are off to flying starts this season with the defending CCS Division III champion Spirits unbeaten in four games.
Soquel, which has won the last four Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League titles, is 5-0. Last year it split its two battles with Notre Dame.
The Spirits, who have scored 53 runs in four games, are loaded at the top with the return of Sarah Muzik, Marisa Given and Aireal Sakasagawa.
And Santa Clara University bound pitcher Elizabeth Ray is back for her fourth year in the circle for Notre Dame.
