North Salinas-Alvarez baseball

The only blemish on the young season for the resurgent Eagles is a loss to unbeaten Soledad.
Alvarez's quick start in the Pacific Division is not a surprise. It closed last season with a three-game winning streak for its first winning league season in nine years.
Andrew Garcia and Richard Flores have continued from where they left off last season, spraying the ball all over the field for the Eagles during a current four-game winning streak.
A lot of familiar names are back for North Salinas, including three year starters Justyn Gutierrez and Zach Foster. Joseph Gutierrez tossed a no-hitter in the teams league opener.
