The Toreadores are a mystery on the baseball diamond right now.

Yet, the bottom line is as odd as ever. Monterey is 5-0 when puts just a run across the plate, 0-3 when it doesn't.
There is no in between right now.
The Toreadores ended a 15 inning scoreless drought on Thursday, erupting for eight runs against Gilroy.
This was a must win for Monterey. Falling to 0-3 in the Gabilan Division with San Benito off to a 5-0 start would have been crippling.
