Friday's game
North County (0-8) vs. Pajaro Valley (3-5) at Watsonville High, 7:30 p.m.
Two teams still searching for their first Pacific Division wins. North County is the lowest scoring team in the tri-region while the Grizzlies have allowed 193 points in four league games.
Anthony Cantrell is chasing a second consecutive 1,000 yard rushing season for Pajaro Valley, needing 237 yards in his final two games.
Not since its inaugural season in 1978 has North County gone winless in a season. Ravaged by injuries, it did not have a lot of depth to begin with.
Since becoming a member of the Monterey Bay League, Pajaro Valley is 1-41 in league play, having dropped 35 straight league games.
That one win came in 2007 when the Grizzles beat North County 23-8.
