I don't know if any team has grown up more over the last four weeks than the Toreadores.
Remember this was a team that didn't get a first game because of a forfeit, was humbled in its home opener and failed to hold a fourth quarter lead in its league opener.
Since then Monterey has looked anything but a team filled with sophomores in the starting backfield.
The Toreadores have averaged 42.1 points a game during their four game winning streak, while the defense has allowed an average of 13.8 points a game.
Yet, while the loss to Palma has been looked upon by many as a turning point in the season, I think the win over San Benito on the road might have been bigger.
Monterey saw a 14-point lead evaporate in the second half and was tied in the fourth quarter.
No one panicked. Instead, the Toreadores ran off the games final 14 points. That's a confidence builder.
