The Eagles didn't need any magic on Friday in clinching no worse than a share of their first league title in 11 years.
Who had Alvarez winning a league title?
That's what I thought.
The 64 points Alvarez put up is a school record, as is the 8-0 start to the season. One more win and the Eagles can tie the single-season school mark for wins with nine.
As it is, eight wins equals the total from the previous seven years combined.
Edric Gamble also set a single-game school mark with six touchdowns in one game, rushing for four and tossing a pair.
The Eagles are going to the playoffs.
A win over visiting Watsonville this Friday gives them the MBL Pacific Division title outright.

Think writer Brian Reeves wanted to say Alvarez is winning the Pacific title and not the Gabilan title as it says in his article in the online edition.
