Alvarez-Gilroy football

Friday's game
Alvarez (7-0) at Gilroy (5-2)
For the second time in three weeks, the Eagles will be in Gilroy, facing arguably the best player in the MBL's Pacific Division in Brandon Boyd.
Coming off a 250 yard rushing effort, the Gilroy tailback is 29 yards shy of 2,000. Boyd has rushed for over 200 yards four times and 300 yards three times.
Last week he had 425 all-purpose yards and has 29 touchdowns this fall.
Alvarez's record breaking start to the season has included back-to-back nailbitters, having hung on for a three point win over Christopher and a two point decision over North Salinas.
Ceasar Ramirez has quietly rushed for nearly 700 yards and 11 touchdowns for Alvarez while Edric Gamble has either rushed or thrown for over 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns.
An Alvarez win clinches no worse than a tie for the Pacific Division title.
