The Spartans decision to change quarterbacks last week was a bit perplexing.
Chris Evans had completed his first eight passes and tossed two touchdowns against Aptos before he switched to receiver.
Lorenzo Johnson, who played sparingly as a sophomore, came in and the Spartans never found that rhythm offensively, and were outscored 24-0 in the second half.
Now in Johnson's defense, head coach Al Avila counted 10 dropped passes. Those are drive killers, as are the three turnovers Seaside committed.
With unbeaten Wilcox on the horizon on Friday, Seaside has got to rediscover that chemistry. It's also got to get healthy.
