Having outscored its first two opponents 89-14, St. Joseph has had an extra week to gear up for the winless Chieftains.
Shutout by St. Francis last week for the first time since falling to De La Salle in 2007, Palma has not lost three straight games since its streak of 29 straight playoff appearances began.
While Palma has dropped two games to two teams that are undefeated this season, its offense has scored just one touchdown in eight quarters, throwing for just 22 yards last week.
The Chieftains defense will have to slow down the Knights Gabe Becerra, who has accounted for six touchdowns -- three rushing and three receiving.
St. Joseph beat Palma 22-7 last year and has dropped two previous games to them by a total of five points.
