The former Carmel High three-sport standout set a school record with five field goals in one game, including a school record tying 50 yarder, and a game winning 37 yarder for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
As a result, Franks was named the Liberty League Special Teams Performer of the Week. Franks accounted for 16 points in the Engineers 24-21 win over Alfred.
Doubling as a punter for RIP, Franks is averaging just under 37 yards a punt and has two touchbacks on kickoffs.
