Jack Ross

Apparently Jack Ross has chosen college over the minor leagues.
Told by at least five major league scouts that he could go between the fourth and eighth rounds of Friday's Major League Baseball Amateur Draft, the Palma center fielder was passed over through 10 rounds.
Why?
Ross was told prior to the draft that he would have to agree to a pro-rated signing bonus or teams likely wouldn't risk drafting him early.
Apparently the signing bonus wasn't enough.
Ross may have already made up his mind before the draft, having gone to Hawaii this week.
Ross could still be selected on Saturday as the draft has 30 more rounds.
Toronto did that last year with Carmel graduate and Cal freshman outfielder Devin Pearson, taking him in the 30th round.
