Jack Ross

At least four major league baseball teams have told Jack Ross that he could go between the fourth and eighth rounds of this weekends Major League Baseball amateur draft.
Where he is drafted could be determined by the Palma center fielder, who already has a baseball scholarship to Pepperdine University.
Teams can offer players a certain amount of money based on where they are drafted. Most teams, though, want the player to commit before using up a draft choice.
Ross, who is in Hawaii this week, has to agree to a deal before he's drafted or teams of interest will likely pass.
It happened last year when Toronto told former Carmel standout Devin Pearson it would select him in the 10th round if he agreed to a deal.
Pearson passed, yet was still taken in the 30th by the Blue Jays. He did not accept their offer and ended up at Cal,  hitting over .300 this pass spring.
