Football 2012

Here are five football games that stand out.
1. Mitch Kidd coming in at quarterback and igniting a second half Palma rally, helping them avoid a three-game losing streak with a 22-12 win over Monterey.
2. Seaside becoming just the second county team in 28 years to beat Palma with a 25-15 win.
3. Monterey making statement by going into Salinas with 28 players and rushing for 340 yards in a 35-21 win over the Cowboys.
4. Pacific Grove's Kevin Teskey and Carmel's Holden Smith both rushing for over 200 yards in The Shoe Game, a Carmel 55-38 decision.
5. Soquel's Fabino Hale rushing for 381 yards and five touchdowns in a 49-42 postseason win over Carmel. Both of the Padres losses last fall came from Soquel.
