Boys Basketball 2012-13

Here are five basketball items that stick out.
1. Palma losing UCLA bound guard Noah Allen for six weeks to a broken hand, yet managing to go 6-2 in his absence.
2. Two starters for Seaside showing up late for a basketball game to practice for an all star football game. The Spartans lost that game, ultimately costing them a share of the Gabilan Division title.
3. Carmel refusing to play a game at Pacific Collegiate, choosing to forfeit for safety issues. Yet, the Padres still won the MTAL title.
4. Alisal rebounding from a 28-point loss at Monte Vista, beating them by five two weeks later.
5. Not seeing Palma and Seaside meet in the Division IV title game after both were eliminated in the semifinals.
