Xavier Nady

 The X Man, who has World Series rings with the Yankees and Giants, is making a case to return to the Major Leagues with the Kansas City Royals.
 The right-handed hitting first baseman/outfielder is leading the Royals Triple A team in Omaha in home runs (5) and runs batted in (17).
 Nady, a Salinas High product and former Cal All-American, is second on the team in batting (.333) and runs scored (16) through the teams first 25 games.
 Nady hit his 100th career major league home run last year with the Giants.
