This has not been an easy ride back to the finals for the reigning seven-time Division I champion Balers.
San Benito needed eight innings to squeak past North Salinas, then held on for a 3-2 victory over Homestead on Tuesday.
The bottom line is the Balers are back, two titles away from tying the state record for consecutive section championships.
Owners of an 11-game winning streak, Leland won the Mount Hamilton Athletic League title and is ranked 25th in the state.
Leland's only CCS title came in 1994.
