The Cowboys have continued to shave time over the last month, having run a season best 3:25.92 two weeks ago at the league finals.
Salinas will go into the section finals tonight in Gilroy ranked fourth. To get into the top three, it will likely have to dip under 3:25.00.
Each hand-off will be critical as time is lost when teammates bunch up on a handful.
