Saturday at the Salinas Sports Complex, 10 a.m.
North Salinas (15-11) vs. San Benito (22-3)
Division I
History is not on the Vikings side, as they have dropped 17 straight games to the reigning seven-time CCS Division I champion Balers.
The last time North Salinas beat the Balers was on April 28, 2005.
In three meetings this year, state ranked San Benito has outscored North Salinas 19-1.
An argument, though, can be made that the Vikings are playing their best ball of the spring, having won their last three games, including a 3-1 decision over Woodside on Wednesday.
Katelyn Doyle and Natalie Martinez stung the ball at the plate in North Salinas' playoff opener, with Doyle firing a four-hitter.
The top seeded Balers have won 15 straight games against CCS opponents.
