The defending Central Coast Section 300 low hurdles champion has caught the attention of her peers this spring in the 100 hurdles, where Davis is the CCS leader going into Friday's finals at Gilroy.
Davis has dropped nearly a half second off her 100 hurdles time, running 15.00 uncontested two weeks ago at the Mission Trail Athletic League finals.
The King City senior, though, may have to shave another tenth or two to win the 100 hurdles finals.
As for defending her title in the 300 low hurdles, Davis will have to run a personal record to creep into the top three. The field is as deep as it has been in a while.
