Despite the loss of hurdler Devin Hinson, I still think the Chieftains have enough in the tank depth wise to repeat as league champions tonight in Gilroy.
Hinson's hamstring injury is a blow, as it could potentially mean an 18 point swing.
Still Palma's strength is its depth. It has four runners in the finals of the 100, three in the 200 and 400, and at least two in four of the six field events.
With six places at the league finals, the unbeaten Chieftains are going to pile up points.
The same can be said for San Benito in the girls championships. While Salinas will make a charge, those fourth and fifth place finishes the Balers will gather will enable them to pull away.
