Diego Estrada

The former Alisal High distance ace was featured this week in Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowd after clocking the second fastest college time ever in the 5,000 meters (13:15) for Northern Arizona.
 The time was also a school and Big Sky Conference record for Estrada, who did it in front of family and friends at Stanford University.
 The last Salinas resident to be showcased in SI's column was softball Olympian Monica Abbott. Last year Estrada ran the 10,000 in the Olympics for Mexico.
