Most leagues ran their championship meets on a Friday afternoon/evening. The Central Coast Section finals will be on a Friday evening in Gilroy. The State Meet will be held in the evening.
So why are the CCS trials being held on Saturday morning into the afternoon in Gilroy.
Granted, it is a long and tedious meet.
And Gilroy tends to be hot in May in the late afternoon.
But don't you want some consistency in terms of weather and conditions? There is a big difference in running at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
