The Toreadores are in the postseason for the 21st straight year. This has been a streaky team all year, currently on a two-game winning streak.
Branham has dropped its last two games, finishing fifth in the Mount Hamilton Baseball League. It won a CCS title in 1989, beating Carmel.
Ryan Williams hit .450 for the Bruins. Alex Zarate had 63 strikeouts in 70 innings for Branham.
Catcher Jimmy Hill has reached base in 26 of Monterey's 27 games, leading the team in hits and runs batted in. Dillion Landon stole 21 bases. Matt Eason should get the start.
