San Benito-Salinas softball

 Not only are the two teams unbeaten in the Gabilan Division, but the Cowboys and San Benito have split two head-to-head battles in tournaments this spring.
 Still, I don't put to much emphasis on tournaments. The Balers did not throw their ace in a 4-1 loss to Salinas on March 9, and Salinas was missing two starters in a setback two weeks ago.
 Salinas is hoping to have its lineup intact for the showdown. Last week four starters were missing at various times, including its leading hitter.
 Sam Luna responded in their absence with a pair of home runs, including a grand slam, while Marissa Bravo is coming off a four-hit game.
  The state ranked Balers are anchored by hurler Megan Sabattini.
