The King City senior hurdler and defending Central Coast Section 300 low hurdles champion is returning to the Top 8 Meet tonight -- a meet that changed her choice of events last spring.
The 300 low hurdles was an event Davis ran primarily for points until she dropped over three seconds off her time at last year's Top 8 Meet, vaulting her to the top of the CCS leader board.
Davis finished last year with a time of 44.92. Her top time coming into tonight's meet at San Jose City College is 47.07, which has her ranked sixth in the section.
I expect that time to drop against an elite field tonight.
