Carmel-Pacific Grove softball

Something has to give tonight when the two teams battle.
 Carmel has won four straight MTAL games while the Breakers have rattled off six straight overall wins.
 Both teams' last setback in league was to unbeaten Santa Catalina.
 The difference is Carmel was humbled at home 19-1 while Pacific Grove's seventh inning rally fell short in a 9-8 heartbreaker.
 The Padres have been a different team since that crushing loss, having outscored the opposition 37-1, as Brittany File has thrown three shutouts.
 It seems like a different player has stepped up in each game for the Breakers with Reeve Grobecker, Nellie South, Christine Lucido and Victoria Harris all having had clutch hits.
