Off to a 6-0 start, the Aztecs will look to snap a six-game losing streak to the two-time defending Mission Trail Athletic League champions today at Carmel.
Soledad has been on fire at the plate, having outscored opponents 85-16.
True, the Aztecs have yet to play a team with a winning record. And that won't change today as the Padres sit at 1-3 overall.
But Carmel hasn't started a league season 0-3 in over 20 years.
The last time Soledad beat the Padres was in the 2010 playoffs.
Ivan Sanchez and Daniel Farfan has been blistering the ball all over the field. Farfan is also taming opponents on the mound at 4-0.
