The former Monterey High and Monterey Peninsula College all-star forward finished his first season for the Texas A&M basketball team, averaging just under three points and three rebounds a game.
The 6-foot-9 Young played in all 32 games for the Aggies, averaging 13.1 minutes a night. Young had 91 points and 93 rebounds. He also had 12 blocked shots.
