With so much talk about Pacific Collegiate's Morgan Green and King City's 10-game winning streak, has anyone noticed that Soledad is 9-2 in the MTAL?
The Aztecs have already tied the single-season school record for wins on the season with 14 going into tonight's rematch with visting King City.
A win over the Mustangs -- who beat Soledad 55-41 on Jan. 9 -- would put them in a tie for first in the MTAL's Valley Division with their south county rivals.
Following up on last year's break out season, senior guard Felicia Villarruel is averaging just under 22 points a game for Soledad, knocking down 91-of-115 free throws.
Soledad is 6-1 at home this year, with its only loss coming from WCAL power Valley Christian of San Jose.
